It is not nowadays uncommon for people to perceive themselves as being bullied at work, for example when you are setting targets and objectives or for your questions or criticisms to be translated as harassment. Conflict in the workplace can also be a treacherous area when one or both parties view your attempts to manage the situation as bullying.

Or you may have been accused of professional misconduct such as sexual harassment or assault, theft, fraud, have a conflict of interest with the company or been alleged to have brought the company into disrepute. You might even subject to a case of whistle blowing. Any of these wrongful accusations made against you at work take time and energy to investigate have the potential to threaten your reputation and career.
Why Coaching For When an Allegation Has Been Made Against You
Dealing with lies told about you is extremely worrying and distressing and you are likely to feel you have been unfairly discriminated against. You may be questioning yourself and your integrity and it may be having a profound effect on you, taking up a good deal of your waking hours and possibly disrupting your sleep. Trying to carry on as normal when you have a disciplinary procedure or court case hanging over you can feel very isolating. Having someone ‘on your team’ to discuss how you are feeling, getting things into better perspective, managing stress-related symptoms and relocating your spirit and resilience is a more supportive way to go through this difficult process. We would work through the stages of the grievance together, preparing you emotionally and psychologically for the different aspects of the procedure.
When There Is Substance in the Allegation
It is also possible that there is substance to the accusation made against you. If so, Coaching through the grievance procedure could be crucial to how you come through the process professionally. Using Coaching together with Psychotherapy, we would look at how your behaviour has brought about the accusation. There may be past or current events or other people causing responses that need to be explored and understood in order for you to move forward. Anger, anxiety and depression are very common reasons for people to act inappropriately in the workplace and we would work together on what needs to be addressed.
