How Coaching Can Help With Professional Issues
Encountering problems and managing difficult relationships at work can be stressful and challenging. It’s time-consuming and exhausting to be in conflict or to be managing a difficult work situation as well as doing your job. Over time, we can lose perspective and question our judgement and in turn our confidence and self-belief can dip.
Using An Integrated Approach
Over time I learned that using the framework of coaching alone didn’t afford me enough opportunity to explore in any depth the issues that my clients were presenting. By integrating the reparative work normally associated with psychotherapy along with the more proactive, goal-oriented work of coaching, I offer a more complete service by using a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach.
Talking through a complicated professional concern or a difficult to manage situation or relationship in an emotionally intelligent way can make a real difference. I would help you to:
- unpick the issue
- break it down into manageable components
- explore the different aspects
- gain clarity and make sense of the situation
- get things into perspective
- find the best way forward for you
- repair the damage to your confidence
Since 2003, as an adjunct to my Psychotherapy practice, I have been using my integrated approach to coach senior executives, CEOs, senior creatives, entrepreneurs and leaders of NGOs and charities to be empathic, resourceful and resilient in their work and their professional relationships.
